Did you know ... An ice cream shop in Brazil has made a point of hiring employees with hearing loss.
The founder and CEO of Gelateria il Sordo Gelato Breno Oliviera, was born with hearing loss. In 2015 he decided to open an ice cream parlor that promotes inclusion and gives visibility to the deaf community, while facilitating an exchange between hearing and non-hearing people.
The gelateria is such a success that it has already opened three more shops in the same city, Aracaju, and the first franchise shop in Salvador, the neighboring state.
What an inspiring story!
