Sonova’s supplier qualification requirements

Sonova operates in regulated industries and requires suppliers to be appropriately qualified. Through Sonova’s onboarding process, a range of due diligence will be conducted based upon the materials, goods or services suppliers provide. This may also result in a requirement to audit prior to the commencement of activities. Sonova’s due diligence processes have been designed to be proportionate and appropriate to the context of each supplier engagement. Our due diligence processes include the following areas:

Compliance –Supplier Code of Conduct, Human Rights, Legal and Regulatory

Materials – RoHS, REACH, materials specific directives

Sustainability – Environment, Social, Governance, Conflict Minerals

Quality – Quality systems and management

Data Privacy – Data controls and management

Information Security – Cyber security, information management and control

Sonova’s Corporate Procurement team have defined criteria for supplier classification. This provides both Sonova business stakeholders and suppliers with clarity on the requirements and expectations to qualify as a preferred supplier.
