Sonova Investor & Analyst Day 2016

Stäfa (Switzerland), October 18, 2016 – Sonova Holding AG, the world’s leading provider of hearing solutions, today holds its fifth annual Investor & Analyst Day. Senior management will present an overview of Sonova’s latest innovative technologies and product solutions in both Hearing Instruments and Cochlear Implants and provide an update on the strategy for professional audiological services. This year’s event is attracting unprecedented interest from the international investor community with over 100 participants expected to attend.

“The record participation at this year’s event shows the tremendous interest by the financial community in Sonova and I am looking forward to sharing our innovative new solutions as well as our integrated strategy with such a broad audience”, says Lukas Braunschweiler, CEO of Sonova. “We will provide further insight into AudioNova, acquired earlier this year, which marked a significant step in advancing our strategy of offering a full range of hearing solutions along with the professional audiological services. Building on the success of our latest products as well as our full pipeline of innovative new solutions and technologies presented today, I am confident that we can continue to capture the potential of the growing hearing care market.”

A focus of the event will be the range of new products across all of Sonova’s brands, most of which will subsequently be showcased at the EUHA congress starting on October 19. Among the highlights are:

Phonak

Phonak recently introduced the next product platform built on the flexible Palio 3 technology. The next-generation Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aid AudéoTM B is the first product family based on the new Phonak BelongTM product platform, which features a host of innovative technologies that have been created specifically to simplify the life of people with hearing loss. The new platform includes Audéo B-R the first ever hearing aid to feature a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery providing 24 hours1 of hearing. All Audéo B products run on AutoSense OSTM, the cutting edge industry only and leading operating system from Phonak, which has been further enhanced with features such as adaptive SoundRecover2 to offer even better hearing performance in every day listening situations.

Unitron

At the end of August, Unitron announced the release of Moxi™ Now, the world’s smallest wireless RIC hearing aid2. Moxi Now was designed by putting patient needs at the center, offering discretion in a fully automatic, high performance, wireless hearing instrument. Built on the North sound processing platform, it combines the strength of three trailblazing features, SoundNav, Sound Conductor and SpeechZone™ 2, allowing patients to participate in every conversation while experiencing natural sound and comfortable listening. Moxi Now also incorporates Unitron’s industry-first patient insights to enhance counseling and intensify patient engagement. Log It All captures real-world evidence about a patient’s listening lifestyle, while Patient Ratings reveals important in-the-moment information on how patients were feeling about their hearing instrument performance.

Hansaton

Hansaton will present the soundHD S312e, nominated for the German Design Award 2017. The ergonomic and elegant design, the ease of use and the brilliant sound characterize the new RIC hearing instrument with easeHD technology. The new signal processing strategy Clear Speech Comprehension reduces the strain on hearing in acoustically demanding situations and increases the listening comfort. In addition, Hansaton introduces the AQ HD S. It is the first rechargeable RIC hearing instrument with HD technology to offer maximum comfort without battery changes. Available in three performance levels, the small masterpiece of technology, thanks to AutoSurroundHD and SpeechBeam+, ensures best speech comprehension and outstanding sound.

Advanced Bionics

In September, Advanced Bionics announced the release of the new HiRes™ Ultra cochlear implant. The HiRes Ultra is the latest generation of HiRes implants and features a low profile, which makes it ideal for recipients of all ages. The combination of AB and Phonak technologies allows recipients to understand better in noise, connect wirelessly to a variety of media or devices, and receive streaming signals between both ears. Starting in summer 2016, AB and Phonak offer the Naída™ Link, the first hearing aid specifically designed to work with a cochlear implant system3. Because Naída Link and the Naída CI sound processor use the same platform, the devices are able to communicate with each other, making hearing easy and natural for bimodal recipients.

The slides of the Investor- & Analyst Day presentations are available on the Sonova website on October 18, 2016 starting at 09.00am CET.
