Stäfa (Switzerland), 2 October 2014 – Sonova Holding AG announces today that it has successfully completed the previously announced acquisition of Comfort Audio i Halmstad AB (Sweden), following regulatory approvals. Comfort Audio is specialized in the development, manufacturing and distribution of innovative assistive listening devices and complements Sonova’s broad wireless and non-wireless product and solution offering.
With a staff of around 90 people, Comfort Audio generated sales of SEK 143 million (CHF 19 million) in calendar year 2013. The company has an attractive solutions and technology offering aimed at assisting people with hearing loss in challenging listening situation such as in larger work group sessions or in schools. Together with its strong distribution network, particularly in Scandinavia, Comfort Audio broadens Sonova’s offering of hearing solutions and market reach substantially.
