My name is Qu HongYu and I'm an AB Harmony user. I'm 26 years old. I experienced sudden deafness many times during my childhood. Up until high school, I managed to manage my poor hearing by taking injections, medicine, and hyperbaric oxygen treatment, etc. Due to the great academic pressure at the time, my hearing aid for the left ear was not effective enough to help me. I also had serious tinnitus in the right ear. I was depressed and couldn’t sleep well. Finally, I joined the "Colorful Dream Action Plan” which helps young people get auditory and language rehabilitation. When I was 17 years old, I got my first AB CI in my right ear. Thanks to the CI, my hearing improved greatly. I successfully completed the college entrance examination, and eventually graduated from college. After a long period of rehabilitation training, my pronunciation and hearing recognition has greatly improved. Now that I have been admitted to become a graduate student at a well-known university, I can continue to pursue my dreams and achieve my goals and life plans.
