Disclosure of shareholdings

According to the article 20 of the Swiss Stock Exchange Act, Sonova Holding AG announces that Andy Rihs, 8634 Hombrechtikon, Switzerland holds 6,300,598 registered shares with a par value of CHF 0.05 as of October 4, 2010 due to sale of securities. This corresponds to 9.53% of total capital and voting rights. In addition, Andy Rihs holds 24,000 call options and 1,000,000 warrants, corresponding to 0.10% of total capital and voting rights.

The sale of securities was a consequence of an expiration of a derivative financial instrument („Variable Forward Transaction“), being closed at September 20, 2007 - expiring after a three year period.
