Erste Operation in Europa mit dem neuen HiResTM<\/sup>Ultra 3D Cochlea-Implantat an der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover (MHH)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Fellbach, 7. November 2018 –<\/strong>Eine stressfreie und schmerzfreie Untersuchung mit einemKernspintomographen (MRT)<\/u><\/a>\u2013 das sind die Vorteile, die das neue Implantat von Advanced Bionics (AB) Empf\u00e4ngern einesHiRes Ultra 3D Cochlea-Implantat<\/u><\/a>s bietet. Am Montag wurde der erste Patient in Europa hiermit versorgt. Durchgef\u00fchrt wurde die Operation von Klinikdirektor Prof. Prof. h. c. Dr. med. Thomas Lenarz an der Hals-Nasen-Ohrenklinik der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover, welche international f\u00fcr das weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dfte Cochlea-Implantat-Programm zur Versorgung von schwerh\u00f6rigen und geh\u00f6rlosen Patienten bekannt ist.<\/p>\n

Erstmalig in Europa wurde am 5. November 2018 das neue HiRes Ultra 3D Implantat von Advanced Bionics in einer eineinhalbst\u00fcndigen Operation einem Erwachsenen eingesetzt.<\/p>\n

\u201eDas HiRes Ultra 3D stellt eine\u00a0andere neue technische Art dar, um ein MRT bei CI-Patienten schmerzfrei zu erm\u00f6glichen. Nun kann auch ohne exakte Ausrichtung des Kopfes und des Implantates im MRT-Ger\u00e4t eine solche Untersuchung gemacht werden. Dies ist ein weiterer Schritt zur Sicherheit unserer Patienten.\u201c,<\/i>erkl\u00e4rt Prof. Lenarz die Vorteile des neuen Implantates.<\/p>\n

Der innovative Magnet erlaubt es den Cochlea-Implantat-Anwendern, sich im starken Magnetfeld eines MRT-Ger\u00e4ts frei zu bewegen, ohne Schmerz oder Unbehagen zu empfinden, und ohne Bewegungseinschr\u00e4nkungen f\u00fcr den Kopf.<\/p>\n

Bisher bestand immer die Gefahr, dass es im MRT selbst bei angelegtem Druckverband um das Implantat zu Schmerzen kommt oder gar der Magnet aus seiner Position gedreht wurde. Daher wurde der Magnet f\u00fcr hochaufl\u00f6sende MRT-Untersuchungen in der Regel entfernt, was mit einer Operation verbunden war und eine l\u00e4ngere H\u00f6runterbrechung zur Folge hatte.<\/p>\n

MRT-Untersuchungen sind heute zunehmend medizinischer Standard.
