Ronald van der Vis was Executive Director of the Board and Group CEO of Esprit Holdings Limited, a global fashion and lifestyle company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, from 2009 until November 2012. Prior to this, since 1998, he held various general management positions at Pearle Europe (now GrandVision NV), the world\u2019s leading optical retailer. He was CEO of the Pearle Europe group from 2004 to 2009.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With his extensive international experience in the retail sector, Ronald van der Vis provides valuable input to the Group\u2019s vertically integrated business strategy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ronald van der Vis graduated from the Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands and received his Master\u2019s degree in business administration from the Alliance Manchester Business School in the UK. He has gained significant financial expertise both through his education and through his business experience as CEO and private equity partner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outside mandates:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Operating Partner, Co-Investor and Industry Advisor<\/li>\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">\u200bChairman of the Supervisory Board of European Dental Group Holding BV<\/li>\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">\u200bMember of the Supervisory Board of HEMA BV\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meeting attendance during the financial year 2019\/20<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Board of Directors: 5 out of 5 meetings attended<\/li>\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Board of Directors calls: 4 out of 4 calls attended<\/li>\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Audit Committee: 4 out of 4 meetings attended\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holdings as per 31.03.2020<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Shares: 1,609<\/li>\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Restricted Shares<sup>1)<\/sup>: 6,192<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"so-rich-text__footer wp-block-paragraph\">1) These shares are subject to a restriction period which varies from June 1, 2020 to June 1, 2025 depending on the grant date.
