Changes in Sonova's Management Board

Sonova Holding AG, the world’s leading provider of hearing systems, has appointed Maarten Barmentlo as new Group Vice President Marketing and Member of the Management Board, effective January 1, 2011.
Maarten Barmentlo (born 1969, Dutch citizen) brings with him a rich and diverse business experience from the healthcare industry. He gained over 20 years of working experience within Philips in different roles and Business Units in the Netherlands and in the US. Maarten Barmentlo was responsible in various management positions for areas such as Personal Care, Oral Care as well as in Consumer and Professional Healthcare. Before joining Sonova, he has served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Systems at Philips Healthcare in the Netherlands. Holding a Ph.D. in Physics, Maarten Barmentlo started his career in research and development at Philips.
