Hear the World Foundation

27 million children – experience hearing loss and live in low- and middle-income countries with little to no access to hearing care.* For children the consequences are serious: hearing loss can contribute to delayed speech and language development, emotional and social challenges – and significantly reduce a child’s prospects for the future.

Providing access to hearing health care

Initiated in 2006 by Sonova Group, the Hear the World Foundation supports children in low- and middle-income countries who require access to audiological care. The foundation’s work is founded on the belief that every child deserves to have a chance to hear well and live life to their full potential.

Hear the World Foundation envisions world where children with hearing loss enjoy equal opportunities.

The foundation supports its project partners in LATAM, EMEA, and APAC with technology, financial resources, and expertise to sustainably grow impact in those regions. Sonova Group employees support the foundation by volunteering with local partners on-site or remotely in the areas of audiology, operations, marketing, and communications.
